My Goa Travelogue.

I had been to Goa in the last week of January. Here's a Travelogue of my Goa tour.
We (me and 9 of my friends) started at Lingampally, Hyderabad at 6.30p.m on Wednesday by train. We got down at Hubli (Karnataka) @ around 8.30A.M on Thursday. We were happy that the train reached Hubli on time. After a breakfast there, we took a sumo to Palolem. We reached Palolem beach in south Goa by around 3.00p.m on Thursday. Palolem is a foreigner's beach. Most of the tourists on this beach are foreigners, esp from the landlocked European countries. As a matter of fact, about95% of tourists on this beach are foreigners. We quickly checked into a hotel (or a hut on the beach, to be precise) and got into the sea. We spent a good 3-4 hours in the water before we got out. We got ready and then went for a late night walk on the sands. I had a sumptuous dinner and was already feeling sleepy, thanks to the long and exhausting journey from Hyderabad.
The next morning, I woke up at around 7.00A.M. Few of my friends joined me on a boat ride into the sea. The boat man promised to show us some dolphins in the sea. We got nervous for a brief while 'coz of the roaring sea and winds. The trip was eventful though we couldn't find any dolphin. After this, I spent a few minutes basking in the warm sun. We then quickly packed our belongings to move to our next destination -Colva Beach in Central Goa.
We reached Colva by around 3.00p.m on Friday. Colva was our venue foraction. We started off with parasailing. The charge of 300 Bucks for aride was well worth it. We then went on water scooters. It was really adventurous. After the adventure, we played some beach soccer. We were really exhausted after a few minutes of soccer. We had a good stroll in the late night, and as usual fell asleep.
Next morning, we started off to North Goa from Colva. It's a common practice for tourists to start their Goa tour from North and travel down south. This is because North Goa is lot more happening than the south. We decided to travel exactly the opposite way, god knows why. We reached Calangute beach in North Goa by around Noon on Saturday. We hired few bikes. Each bike cost us 250 rupees/12 hours, excluding the fuel. We started off with the Aguada fort. Aguada fort used to be a water storage area. Built in the 16th century, this was also a place to rest for the Portuguese sailors. The place also has a huge light tower for the navigation of the ships. It gives a spectacular view of the Arabian sea.Our next destination was the sinquerim beach located at the footsteps ofthe sinquerim fort (also called lower aguada fort). We spent a few minutes there before we started off to old Goa. Old Goa is very famous for its huge churches. We had time for 3 churches - Basilica of bonjesus, Se cathedral and St assissi church. Old goa gives a glimpse of the Old Portuguese constructions. We quickly rapped up our tour to old Goa to return to the Calangute beach. We had a full Saturday night to cover the calangute, baga and candolim beaches. We roamed till early Sunday morning in the beach. Some of my friends went to a Disco that night. We had a really short nap that night.
We woke up rather hesitantly on Sunday morning to go to the Vagator beach and the Chapora fort. We had about 3 hours to do it. Vagator beach is a very peaceful beach where one would like to relax in the sun and the sands. It can be reached by road, but we preferred to trek down to it from the chapora fort. Chapora fort is the place where a few scenes were shot in the movie "Dil chahatha hain". No wonder why it's being called as "Dil chahatha hai fort" these days. We came back to Calangute from there, returned the bikes and packed our belongings very reluctantly to start our journey back.
We went to Panaji from calangute. We had time for some shopping in Panaji before we took our bus back to Hyderabad. By then I started liking Goa. Now, I think I'm going to stay with the memories of this eventful tour in the days to come.
All in all, Goa is a wonderful place and you will like the place if you have a soft corner for the beaches and sands. At the end of it all, I started believing that each beach in Goa has its own specialty, contrary to what I thought before the tour.
My Rating for the Tour is 3.75/5. My tour to Munnar on Bikes with Sarath and Pavan still remains the best.
